Mermaids schmermaids
When is someone going to make a film about a pretty merMAN (or a Monsieur Narf)? And if they do, will he be a peaceful, delicate, passive temptress (or tempter), like most of his female counterparts? A pale little stud muffin who has trouble talking? And what actor would be your ideal merman? (Boys, it won't make you gay to pick someone).

(Ooh, but it might make me straight.)
Since Shyamalan is very cute, and since he has deep soulful eyes, I think that he should have been his own sea nymph. Instead of coming from some tranquil tropical waters, he could have come from a cold stormy sea. Story was a helpless dishrag—the norm in myth—but a potent fairy creature that still needed help would be refreshing, hmm?
Who would rescue him? Steven Spielberg? Clint Eastwood? This has promise.

Yeah, he should have been the sea nymph and the chick could have been the misunderstood genius.
(Does he have a thing for that actress? She was also in "The Village," which was widely pooped on by critics and fans alike. Is he trying to make her his Mia Farrow? She even kind of looks like her.)
