Prequel and sequel
Do you have any desire to see the Elling prequel, Mors Elling (Mother’s Elling) or sequel, Elsk meg i morgen (Love Me Tomorrow)? Elsk meg i morgen, which had the same director as Elling, seems to have gotten okay reviews, but Mors Elling, which had a different director, was apparently widely disliked.

I'll pass. I'm especially not interested in seeing Elling's relationship with his mother played out. I was actually grateful that we didn't have to see it in this movie.
That picture doesn't entice you at all?
I wouldn't be as interested in the prequel, though I'd like to see how filmmaker's portray Elling's issues -- how much stem from nature, how much from nurturing.
(Presumably overnurturing.)
One drawback to Mors Elling is that it doesn't have the Bjarne character.
The idea of a middle-aged guy living at home with his mother -- and their too-close-not-to-be-creepy relationship -- just seems kind of cliche to me now.
