Dynamic characters

I think all of the major characters in the film were round. I think Mr. Incredible and Violet Parr were the most dynamic characters. Did you think the characters were well-developed, and were the changes in Mr. Incredible and Violet believable and meaningful?

The character development was simplistic, as it is in cartoons and other children's stories, and I think kids would pick up on the reasons for the changes in those characters. It works for a children's movie.

And it works for people like me who have trouble understanding complex characters!

I agree with Erin in that the character development is more simplistic, especially compared with the "Toy Story" movies and "Finding Nemo," but it is there. The obvious one is Bob and how he has to let go of the past and appreciate his family in the here and now, but also with Helen. She was the one who wanted them to hide their powers and fit in, which even hindered Violet a bit. It was sort of about accepting her family for who they were, and celebrating it.
