What was yours?

Had to double-check it against IMDB, but it was Genevieve:

"One thing I know for sure. A person can't sneeze in this town without somebody offering them a handkerchief."

Summed up the town perfectly.

I liked a lot of them. The one I found most touching was from Sam:

... being crazy about a woman like her is always the right thing to do. Being an old decrepit bag of bones, that's what's ridiculous.

KC, that was my favorite, too! I was also quite partial to "What's on your feeble mind, Duane?"

I don't know how anyone can remember a single line from that movie after only seeing it once. After reviewing the few quotes they have on imdb.com, one of my favorites was the one about how it wouldn't hurt to have a better hometown.

"We only made it as far as Oklahoma."

"That's not much of an improvement."

That's a good one, G!

Cloris Leachman had some good lines, too. I really loved when Sonny was talking about how she must miss her husband when he's coaching, and she said, "My God, you don't know a thing about it, do you?" She understood just then the huge gulf between their worldviews, that Sonny was young enough to still be in the grips of a fairytale notion of married life, of having no insights whatsoever into what the life of a lonely housewife with an oafish husband must be like. She was so immersed in her own misery that she took its transparency for granted.

And Jacy had a good line, after the Abilene debacle, about "nothing is ever like it's supposed to be" (something like that — I can't find the exact quote). It was the one place n the movie where I saw a dawning glimmer of maturity in her.
